Key Account Manager (12-Month Fixed Term)

About the RoleI am currently working with a leading engineering company that specialises in high-performance solutions within the automotive, aerospace, and engineering sectors. They are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong commercial and technical acumen to manage key customer accounts, ensure the smooth delivery of programmes, and contribute to the growth of the business.

The Role

As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the generation of quotations in collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Effectively communicating quotations to customers and managing any queries or concerns they may have.
  • Taking commercial responsibility for existing programmes, tracking progress on open orders, and ensuring timely invoicing.
  • Working with internal technical specialists to address customer inquiries and offer tailored solutions.
  • Leading commercial negotiations with customers to ensure the company's capabilities are fully utilised to meet their needs.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and energy regulations.
  • Supporting data protection compliance by adhering to best practices and legal requirements.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally within automotive or aerospace industries.
  • Strong commercial awareness of engineering services and products.
  • Experience with SAP or similar business systems.
  • A track record of delivering results and meeting targets, with a strong work ethic and determination to succeed.
  • The ability to drive progress from internal and external stakeholders and manage customer relationships effectively.
