Company Profile
My client has grown to become a consultancy that offers a broad range of multi-disciplinary engineering services to a diverse client base.

Their existing Development Planning team, which is based in their stunning office, work with private and public sector clients, architects, planners and other property professionals across all sectors. They undertake Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other technical documentation and provide key transport / drainage inputs to develop preliminary designs, spatial plans and, masterplans. Their clients include developers, landowners, housebuilders, retailers, health trusts, universities, local authorities and contractors.

Duties
Working within the Development Planning Team, the role will be varied and include but is not limited to:

路Provide a leading role in the preparation of technical reports and relevant technical analysis associated with Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments
路Demonstrate a high-degree of competency in utilising all design and analytical software when preparing technical reports
路Utilise AutoCAD to prepare preliminary engineering designs for highway and drainage schemes
路Liaise with stakeholders
路Assist the Project Manager in the successful delivery of a project
路Represent the company at meetings, public consultations and exhibitions
路Ensure technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief
路Attend client meetings where required and alongside the Project Manager / Director
路Provide technical knowledge and leadership to junior members of staff
路Actively undertake business development for the company
路Comply with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards
路Establish strong working relationships with other internal teams

Experience, qualifications and attributes
路Strong experience in the preparation of development-related Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Studies, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Designs
路Competent in preparing preliminary highway and drainage designs
路Comfortable in dealing with clients, local authorities and other regulatory bodies
路Experience in understanding client briefs, developing fee proposals and delivering project work
路Excellent presentation, technical writing and analytical skills
路Membership of a relevant professional institution (CIHT, CILT, TPS, ICE etc)
路Have a good awareness of relevant design guidance, at both at a local and national level
路Be able to motivate and inspire staff within their team and around them
路Must be pro-active in self-directed CPD and keep up to date with appropriate design standards and regulatory legislation and relevant policies
路Must hold a full and clean driving licence
路Must be prepared to travel UK wide and stay away from home on occasion
