The Credit Controller will play a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance Department, managing and maintaining the debtor's ledger while ensuring timely payments. This role requires someone who has a strong background within Credit Control and has been responsible for key accounts.

Our client is an established player in the Northampton area. They have an immediate requirement to recruit a professional Credit Controller into their team to manage some large key accounts.

Description

  • Manage and maintain the debtor's ledger.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up overdue accounts.
  • Prepare monthly reports on debtors for management review.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve any payment queries.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold data confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to enhance credit control procedures.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • A solid understanding of credit control procedures & exposure within this kind of role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
