Role - External Sales Representative
Location - covering postcodes CV, LE, NG, DE
Salary - £50,000 + Commission + Car
SF Recruitment are working in partnership with a technical automation distributor specialising in leading electrical automation manufacturers. The role of the External Sales Representative role is to manage and develop relationships with existing and new customers within a designated geographical sales region.
The role requires significant time spent on the road meeting customers face-to-face, ensuring strong engagement and business growth. The position also involves collaboration with the internal sales team to maximise sales opportunities and support mutual customer efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with customers, spending a significant amount of time on the road to maintain strong business relationships.
- Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
- New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the designated sales region, expanding the customer base.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement and drive company sales strategies within the assigned geographical area.
- Solution Selling: Understand customer needs and provide tailored automation solutions using products from our portfolio.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our manufacturers and product offerings to effectively cross-sell and upsell.
- Sales Performance: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to achieving branch performance bonuses.
- Collaboration with Internal Sales Team: Work closely with the internal sales team at a branch level, ensuring effective communication, mutual support, and a coordinated approach to customer opportunities.
- Diary Management: Effectively manage appointments and sales activities to optimise time spent in front of customers.
