Our client is looking to recruit a highly skilled Interim Finance Analyst to join their team on a 4 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to actively contribute to the team's objectives by analysing and continuously improving financial data, aiding quick decision-making and forecasting. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Northampton with 5 days in the office.
As a Finance Analyst in Operations & Technical, your role will be pivotal in analysing and continuously improving financial data. You will be responsible for reporting on various datasets, assisting in the production of costing models, understanding operational transactions and their financial impacts. Your ability to build reports that visualise finance operations will be crucial in this role. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate data inputs while educating the wider business on the importance of robust data. Your role will also involve supporting business cases by providing insightful analysis.
- Analyse and report on various data sets including comparisons of budgets, forecasts, projects and other data sets
- Assist production of costing models including budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts
- Understand operational transactions and financial impact of them, guiding data input and process efficiency
- Work with FP&A and other finance colleagues to improve integration of reports into cost models
- Build reports to visualise finance operations and technical data
- Contribute to housekeeping of timely and accurate inputs to data, educating the wider business on impact of robust data
- Support business cases as required, providing insightful analysis with data

Your proven track record in analysis and reporting work speaks volumes about your capabilities. Experience in automotive or manufacturing would be advantageous but not essential. Your organisational skills enable you to manage several tasks simultaneously even under tight deadlines. With an eye for detail, you ensure accuracy in all your work. You're confident with Excel and a quick learner on ERP systems.
