They offer aftermarket support for various products, focusing on sectors like automotive, agriculture, construction, marine, mining, rail, and power generation.Your new roleThey are looking for a talented Finance Business Partner, to join their European Finance team, specialising in financial operations and strategic decision-making. As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for overseeing all end-to-end costing activities for Europe. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Costing Activities: Maintain standard and actual costing, analyse material variances, review bills of materials (BOM), and investigate low-margin products.
- Financial Costing Modelling: Develop and evaluate costing models to support financial appraisals, identify opportunities, and assess risks.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with business teams to provide insights into costing areas and support strategic decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with sales, supply chain, and item master teams to review BOMs and support pricing decisions.
- ERP Implementation Support: Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring accurate financial data integration and smooth transitions.
- Month-End Activities: Performing month-end tasks, including journal entries, material variance analysis, and support for operational teams.
What you'll need to succeedThe right person for this position will be well-educated with the ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification. You would need to have significant experience in finance, including cost accounting. Key requirements include:
- Advanced Business Partnering Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, develop partnerships, and influence decision-making by demonstrating deep business knowledge. Evaluate the business environment to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Financial Analysis Expertise: Proficiency in interpreting financial data, analysing trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to stakeholders, ensure data integrity, and resolve issues.
- Strength in Financial Reporting: Ability to analyse financial data, prepare and present financial information, and ensure compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively to drive financial performance aligned with organisational goals.
- Able to Manage Complexity: Make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems effectively.
