Job Purpose:
Macildowie are working with a prestigious education organisation in Northamptonshire to appoint a Finance Business Partner. This role will play a key part in the provision of strategic support to department heads and oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the College and its subsidiaries. This role ensures accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and key financial insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business partner with Department Heads to provide value-add financial guidance and support
- Monitor and forecast income, expenditure, and capital budgets.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Conduct budget review meetings and provide financial guidance.
- Support tracking of apprenticeship funding and claims.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and year-end reporting.
- Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and EDI policies.
- Contribute to College's strategic and financial objectives.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience; candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered but you must possess strong technical financial skills and experience.
- Experience:
- Financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Producing management accounts and variance analysis.
- Experience in education or non-profit (desirable).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
