We are excited to be recruiting a Finance Director for a leading educational institution. This newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of financial planning, controls, and reporting while working closely with senior leadership to enhance financial strategy.
In this role, you will:
- Lead on financial forecasting, ensuring effective scenario planning and robust financial controls.
- Oversee key financial operations, including budgeting, capital expenditure, and financial reporting.
- Work closely with senior leaders and department heads, ensuring they have the financial insights they need to make informed decisions.
- Act as a key liaison for internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and financial integrity.
- Manage and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and financial accountability.
This role is based in Northampton and offers hybrid working, with three days per week in the office. You will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £70,000, a generous pension scheme, over 35 days of annual leave (plus an additional 8 bank holidays), and a range of other perks, including free parking, access to wellbeing support, and various employee discounts.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified Accountant with experience in financial leadership.
- Have a strong background in financial planning, control, and business partnering.
- Be an excellent communicator, capable of influencing and supporting key stakeholders.
- Be adaptable and open to working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Have experience in education or public sector finance (desirable but not essential).
