Financial Accounting Manager – Northampton – Hybrid - £55-65,000 (DOE)Are you a dynamic and creative financial expert with a passion for accuracy and integrity? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!Main Objectives….We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the financial accounting processes within our Client’s organisation. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and playing a key part in their financial operations.Key Responsibilities….
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent consolidation and reporting for the Group under IFRS. Prepare monthly, annual, and ad-hoc reports for management, auditors, and investors.
  • Balance Sheet & Controls: Take responsibility for accurate balance sheet reconciliations and controls, advising on financial reporting implications when required.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate the smooth running of the external audit process, ensuring all deadlines are met with minimal issues.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain and enhance financial controls and systems, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and contribute to process automation within the finance function.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with induction and training of new employees, manage confidential data in line with UK GDPR, and contribute to improving the Customer & Employee Experience.
Requirements…
  • You must be ACA / ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least two years of post-qualification industry experience, ideally with strong technical experience gained in practice.
  • You must have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities, with a flexible approach to work.
  • Have familiarity with Sage 200 / SAP By Design and experience in change management within a finance function.
