We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial processing, controls, management reporting, and support financial planning and budgeting. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations at a prestigious educational institution.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and inspire the Accounts team, fostering a sense of shared purpose and teamwork.
  • Ensure efficient and effective financial processing, including termly billing, debtor management, and purchase and supplier management.
  • Maintain robust systems and procedures for financial control in line with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Provide monthly reporting to budget holders, monitor departmental and project expenditure, and ensure robust controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of management reports, returns, and information for various stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred).
  • Good general education (to A level or equivalent).
  • Experience in a similar managerial role within finance.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and IT skills, including data scrutiny and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, highly organised, and able to manage multiple tasks or projects.
