Purpose Of The Role:
To follow the correct processes in an efficient and timely manner ensuring the operation within the team delivers outstanding service to customer-specific requirements. Accountability for inbound and outbound freight and safe storage of customer goods. Adherence to legislative, safety and organisational policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Full accountability for customer goods when putting away or bringing down from locations
Direct responsibility for ensuring that the reach truck is kept in a pristine condition and any defects are reported straight away
H & S conscious
To be proactive if any problems arise whilst picking or putting away
Housekeeping as per rota
Ability to move and organise oversized and high value goods
Ensuring all consignments are placed in the correct locations
Any other tasks as required
Flexibility to work at either of the two sites when required.
Skills & Experience:
Experience putting away or retrieving heavy & high value goods
Strong team player
Good attention to detail
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to work on own initiative / unsupervised
Computer literate
Manual handling skills
Awareness of health and safety issues
Numeracy and literacy skill
