Classroom Support Assistant Northamptonshire
Justteachers is looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Northamptonshire, providing vital support to students with a range of learning and communication needs. This full-time role is available for an immediate start, with interviews and shortlisting currently underway. Initially, the position will be on a supply basis, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting students in the classroom, helping them engage with learning activities.
- Assisting teachers in delivering lessons adapted to meet individual student needs.
- Encouraging students to develop independence and essential life skills.
- Providing emotional and behavioural support to promote well-being and engagement.
- Implementing communication strategies to support students with speech and language needs.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide holistic support.
- Monitoring student progress and contributing to reports and assessments.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Teaching Assistant / Care Qualification.
- Previous experience working with students in a SEN or classroom setting.
- A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by students with learning difficulties, autism, and communication needs.
- Two recent education or school-based references.
