Paralegal – Private Client   Location: NorthamptonSalary: £25,000+ DOEHours: Full time office based, Monday – FridayACS have teamed up with a firm based in Northampton who are seeking a paralegal to join their private client team specialising in providing advice on preparing wills, managing estates and preserving wealth.This is a great opportunity to develop your legal skills and knowledge within a growing, experienced and mutually supportive team.  You will be exposed to a broad range of matters and will be working on files, undertaking research, attending client meetings and drafting basic documents.Some of your duties will include:
  • Drafting documents and letters of advice to clients under supervision
  • Drafting and completing basic legal documents and forms
  • Researching legal issues on behalf of other fee earners
  • Preparing document bundles for fee earners as required
  • Taking responsibility for administrative tasks, i.e. coordinating the administration of seminars
  • Taking messages about initial advice queries and passing them on to the relevant fee earner
  • The efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, file opening, preparation of client care letters and terms and conditions, file closure and archiving
  • Undertaking any other duties as required. 
  • Liaise with clients via telephone and email
  • Attend client meetings both in person and on the telephone, as requested by the fee earner and prepare attendance notes to record the meeting
  • Attend meetings and take notes as required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent team player
  • Motivated with a strong commitment to learning
  • Prior paralegal experience in this area of law would be advantageous
