Salary:£19.87 per hour

Location: Northamptonshire

Hours of work: Core hours 37 per week, Monday Friday, office hours.

Our Client:A prestigious local authority organisation is seeking a proactiveLicensing Officerto join the team on a short-term basis. This role involves a mix of remote and on-site work, providing flexibility while contributing to the delivery of essential licensing services.

The office is based in Wellingborough with 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct licensing inspections to meet targets, using risk assessment principles.
Investigate complaints related to licensed premises, vehicles, and activities.
Collaborate with other authorities and agencies for coordinated enforcement.
Carry out licensing enforcement activities, including issuing notices and preparing prosecution reports.
Present reports to Licensing Panels and Sub-Committees.
Provide expert advice on licensing matters to businesses, the public, and internal teams.
Engage with trade bodies and organisations such as Pub watch and the licensed vehicle trade.
Drive continuous improvement to ensure the best service delivery.
