We are looking to recruit an Assistant Technical Manager to implement technical improvements and have a hands-on quality approach. The role is suitable for someone who is looking for that next step in their career, who has a good understanding of quality/technical processes within food manufacturing.   • Assisting with third party audits
  • Ensuring the quality management system is fully implemented.
  • Monitoring GMP, hygiene and quality throughout the factory.
  • Providing specifications and legal labelling functions to the technical team through creating, updating, and maintaining finished product specifications and labels.
  • Creating, managing, and maintaining factory quality attribute sheets.
  • Investigating root cause analysis, quality, and technical concerns.
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality action plans.
  • Implementing technical improvements throughout the factory.
  • Supporting and motivating the technical graduate and technical assistants when required.
  • Delivering hygiene improvements through auditing.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of site certifications e.g. BRC / BMPA
Assistant Technical ManagerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Previous experience working within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant food industry regulations and standards e.g. HACCP and BRC.
