Technical Manager - CAD Specialist

Are you a skilled Technical Manager with a strong background in CAD and experience in shoe manufacturing? We're looking for a dynamic professional to join a forward-thinking engineering team in Northampton.

As the Technical Manager the key Requirements:

  • Expertise in CAD systems.
  • Proven experience in the shoe manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Using our CAD system, develop new or update existing patterns.
  • Create and revise technical specifications and work tickets.
  • Work with the production team to engineer new styles including development of components, best production routines, etc,
  • Work on continuous improvement across the factory with a detailed action plan including formalisation of new methods, creation / updating of quality standards and control of implementation of technical changes.
  • Support the Sales Director on the build of new ranges for seasonal collections or customer's own collections.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance of footwear development with key retail partners and Distributors.
  • Implement an improved system for maintaining and updating the product library.
