Production Shift Manager

We're on the search for an experiencedShift Managerto join our clients Production team.

Ideally, you will have some experience within a production/manufacturing environment as this role is within Extrusion (production environment) - however, this isn't essential as we're more keen to hear about your success(s) within a shift management role.

This role is an integral part of the business function - the Shift Manager has overall responsibility for the overall production operation and is responsible for the training and development of people, dealing with staff issues and welfare.

Role Insight

Contract:Permanent, Full-time

Salary:£42,000 - £43,000 DOE with a OTE of £46K*

Overview
- Manage shift operations efficiently, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
- Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and production levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment problems

You will have approx 10-15 direct reports.

About you
- Previous experience in a similar production or a related industry is preferred but not essential

- Knowledge of Health & Safety is essential

- Industrial or technical managerial expertise required for managing production gained within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with all stakeholders.

- Confident with IT such as; Excel, word, outlook.
