Reed Scientific are excited to be partnering with a flavours and fragrances company based in Northamptonshire who have an immediate need for a QC Technician. This would suit someone with previous quality testing and laboratory experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Release raw materials, fragrance batches, and laboratory batches after testing to specifications.
Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches.
Accurately read and enter all data onto the QC system with due regard for specifications.
Record all non-conformances, rework, and blend where possible.
Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter them onto the database.
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace in accordance with hygiene audit requirements.

Skills and Attributes Required:

BSc degree in a Chemistry related field
Previous testing experience in a laboratory environment
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, both in a team and individually.
Accurate data recording.
Good communication skills and a team player.
