Reed Scientific are excited to be partnering with a flavours and fragrances company based in Northamptonshire who have an immediate need for a QC Technician. This would suit someone with previous quality testing and laboratory experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Release raw materials, fragrance batches, and laboratory batches after testing to specifications.
  • Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches.
  • Accurately read and enter all data onto the QC system with due regard for specifications.
  • Record all non-conformances, rework, and blend where possible.
  • Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter them onto the database.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace in accordance with hygiene audit requirements.

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • BSc degree in a Chemistry related field
  • Previous testing experience in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, both in a team and individually.
  • Accurate data recording.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
