Macildowie Supply Chain, Procurement & LogisticsProcurement Co-Ordinator / Assistant - Up to £32,000 Per Annum - NorthamptonMonday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm - Hybrid Working AvailableMacildowie Supply Chain, Procurement & Logistics has recently partnered with a manufacturing organisation based in Northampton to recruit a Procurement Co-Ordinator / Assistant.The key objectives will be to support the senior purchasing team with sourcing duties including collaborating with new suppliers and on-boarding as well as ensuring that regular purchase orders are raised correctly.Main Responsibilities

  • Support and resolve queries via telephone and email received via the procurement telephone line, providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Assist the purchasing team by obtaining quotations and accurate lead times to assist with tenders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that deliveries are reaching customers on time.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and delivering supplier and inventory reports for stakeholders.
  • Carry out daily tasks regarding invoicing, chasing and receiving orders.
  • Ensure timely maintenance of the procurement and own email inbox, to ensure all are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement collaborative plans with suppliers to meet business objectives.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience in a buyer/procurement focused role.
  • CIPS accreditation or working towards.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Able to travel to Northampton.
  • Excellent communication skills.
