PSR Solutions are working with a market leading client within the Residential Groundworks Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in Northampton.
Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
- Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
- Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
- Preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
- Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
- Forecasting monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.
- Allocating work to sub-contractors including assistance with procurement when required.
- Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
- Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
- Residential Groundworks background Ideally
- Other Groundworks and Civils experience may be considered
- Assistant QS or Senior QS with Groundworks experience may be considered also
- Professional membership of appropriate body
- Good data interrogation skills
- Bid Knowledge
- Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Valid driving licence
