Business Development Manager - Warehousing Automation and Logistics (SaaS) Systems.

Fully Remote home-based role for a Northamptonshire based company. Highly Competitive Salary + Bens + Commission.

Applause IT are collaborating with a well-established specialist vendor or automated materials handling and software solutions for warehousing operations, including storage and retrieval, order forwarding, picking, and sortation systems. The company also offers residential or mobile engineering support services, OEM support, and modernizations, refurbishments, and upgrades. They pride themselves on having the largest UK Service Support team in the warehouse automation industry, prioritizing data protection and transparency in handling personal information.

The Role:

This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Business Development Manager.

The role involves identifying target accounts and build binding relationships with key decision makers and using these to gain profitable new contracts and to assess and qualify sales enquiries, lead presentations, supervising the production of proposal documents and cost information.

Using contacts to obtain critical market intelligence about our competitors, customers, and suppliers.

Representing the company at exhibitions and conferences using the opportunity to present them as the supplier of choice within the materials handling industry.

Must hold a UK Driving licence and have access to a vehicle as may will occasionally be expected to attend a customer site (expenses will be paid for travel.)


Required:

  • Business Development and sales background and experience in the SaaS and Logistics Arena
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
    * Integrator background and WMS / Automation Experience would be an advantage
    * Strategic planning and market research abilities
    * Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
    * Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
    * Strong Communicator and relationship builder
