Our client is a well-established organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people. they operate a Children's Residential Home, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young individuals with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). Shift Pattern: 1 on 2 off (including sleep in)
Pay: £22,252 - £26,250 DOE (Plus £6,000 - £7,500 in sleep in bonus')
Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Childcare Workers to join our team. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for supporting a young person with EBD in our Children's Residential Home. Your role will involve providing emotional support, guidance, and a stable environment, enabling the young person to thrive and overcome challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to the young person with EBD
- Foster a positive and supportive living environment
- Implement behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with the team to create individualised care plans
- Promote a sense of belonging and emotional well-being
- Ensure the safety and security of the young person at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in residential childcare or a related field
- NVQ 3 in "Residential Childcare" or "Children and Young People's Workforce" (essential for senior role)
- Understanding of Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and appropriate support strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude
- Flexibility to work on a shift pattern of 1 on 2 off
