Your new companyHays Education have recently seen an increased need for Pastoral Support in Secondary Schools and SEN Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply.Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Northamptonshire, covering the areas of Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley and all the in between! This means as a Teaching Assistant working at a Secondary School through Hays you will have local work in your local area covering schools that only you want to work in.Your new roleOnce you start working through Hays, to ensure you keep your busy schedule organised, you will have access to the Hays Hub mobile app for your smart phone or tablet where you can manage all your bookings in one place.Working on a supply basis through Hays as a Pastoral Support Worker, you will benefit from working on a full or part time basis to suit your needs and work life balance.You will be expected to:* Support students with their learning* Monitor student behaviour in the classroom* Be familiar with the schools polices and procedures to deal with any immediate problemsWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful in your new job you will need to have experience of working with students aged 11-16 in a classroom environment for more than 3 months in the last 6 months.You will be an experienced Teaching Assistant or youth worker that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential.
