Join Northamptonshire Children's Trust's fantastic Duty and Assessment Team (DAAT). We are the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns about children and young people in the county. Our team works collaboratively with professionals across multiple services, ensuring that children and families are supported effectively and safely. About the Team

What You Will Be Doing

You'll be responsible for responding to referrals, conducting initial assessments, and delivering interventions to children and families in need. Working closely with a broad range of agencies, you'll be part of a service that ensures the safety and wellbeing of children in Northamptonshire. With a rotating duty element, you'll work across various cases, from initial referrals through to transition to other teams.

About You

You will be a qualified social worker with a passion for best practice in safeguarding children and families. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead a team of social workers, support assessments, and interventions, and contribute to the county's child protection strategy. Ideally, you will have significant experience in children's social work within a statutory or voluntary organisation and experience of mentoring less experienced colleagues.

You will have a solid understanding of relevant legislation and the services available to families and children.
