As a Social Worker in the Children in Care Team, you'll have the chance to work in a supportive, innovative environment where your expertise can truly influence change. This fast-paced role is designed for professionals committed to working collaboratively with the Leaving Care Service and external partners to ensure the best outcomes for children in care.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing a diverse caseload of children in care, including those subject to legal proceedings and those in long-term care.
  • Delivering clear, accurate assessments and planning effectively for the future of every child.
  • Building strength-based relationships with children, young people, and families.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the Leaving Care Service and external partners to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Providing leadership in complex cases, underpinned by your knowledge of looked after children care.

About You

  • You are an experienced, qualified, and registered social worker, having completed your ASYE.
  • You bring a commitment to delivering best practice and supporting children, young people, and families.
  • You can demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
  • You are confident in your analysis and decision-making to deliver purposeful, effective social care, supported by experienced colleagues and managers.
