If you have 3+ years of experience in programming PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, as well as experience in InTouch and Ignition SCADA then we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities of a Control Systems Engineer:
- PLC, HMI & SCADA Programming - Develop and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA software to meet project requirements, primarily using Siemens, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi systems.
- Control System Design & Integration - Design and implement automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration with industrial control systems.
- Industrial Networking - Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
- Functional Safety & Process Control - Design and implement safety systems while adhering to relevant process safety standards.
- Technical Documentation - Write functional design specifications, project documentation, and system reports.
- On-Site Commissioning & Troubleshooting - Install, test, and optimise control systems, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime.
- Client Communication & Project Management - Work closely with clients to understand requirements, provide engineering proposals, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Continuous Improvement & Business Development - Identify opportunities for process optimisation and new business growth through innovative automation solutions.
Required Skills & Experience for a Control Systems Engineer:
- A strong understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
- Experience in electrical schematics, and control panel design
- Familiarity with functional safety and process safety systems is preferred
- The ability to write detailed functional design specifications
- Hands-on experience with on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems to ensure seamless integration and performance
