Grants Officer

Our Client is a small local charity dedicated to supporting local families, who are home schooling their children. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grants Officer on a fixed-term contract to help our client to secure funding through grants.

Job Summary: The Grants Officer will be responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing grants to support the charity's programs and initiatives. This role involves researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the charity's mission and goals.

Develop and write compelling grant proposals and applications.

Coordinate with internal staff to gather necessary information for grant submissions.

Ensure all grant applications are submitted on time and meet the criteria of the funding agencies.

Monitor and report on the progress of funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grant activities.

Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders.

Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines.

Attend relevant workshops and meetings to stay updated on grant opportunities and regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
