Designated Safeguarding Lead required in Ealing

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Designated Safeguarding Lead to work full-time at a fantastic SEN school in Ealing.
Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for more high-quality office staff to work with these schools.
Our Engage Education Services team specialises in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:00, 35 hours per week, during term time only.
About the role:Our School Administrator duties can include:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the DSL will take lead responsibility forsafeguarding and child protection across the school (including online safety). Theywill take part in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, and contribute tothe assessment of children; monitor the concerns through the school system.

They will advise and support other members of staff on child welfare, safeguardingand child protection matters, and liaise with relevant agencies such as the localauthority and police.

Having an up to date understanding of Child Protection and safeguarding guidelinesand the implications for young people with special needs

Providing practical and emotional support for parents or guardians through skilledand experienced casework highlighting the impact that special needs can have

Having an in-depth knowledge of a range of disability and related legislation

Supporting the family worker with attendance under DfE guidelines

Manage and oversee the transition to adult services for post-16 pupils

Experience of working in a busy school or college environment.

A real passion for working within an education environment.

Experience utilising SIMS (School Information Management System) within an administrative role.
