Carbon60 are looking for a number Trainee Mechanical Operatives known as a Coil Operatives to join a large Engineering company based in Greenford. This position is on a Temp to Perm basis.

This Coil Operative position is working for our client that offer engineering components and services to their clients. They also pride themselves in providing a maintenance service for gearboxes, pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment.

This position will be working in their coil manufacturing facility. Full training is provided on this position.

Skills Required:

  • Commitment to working to high quality procedures and standards
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Experience with basic hand and power tools
  • Experience of working in an engineering environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately

Job Duties:

  • Dismantling electric motors using hand tools.
  • Taking all windings out using chisel/hammer operation.
  • Using abrasives to clean out the parts (includes use of angle grinders)
  • Using chemicals to wash motor casing and steam cleaning.
  • Using short blaster to clean all motor parts.
  • Using crane operations for all activities
  • Training provided.

Working Hours are Monday - Friday
