This business is currently in an exciting period of growth resulting in the need for an ambitious, high calibre Financial Controller to drive business performance, provide support to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, ensure a strong control environment and provide responsibility for the financial integrity for this successful division across their group entities.

This company is a market leader renowned for employee development, innovation and continuous ambition. This vacancy is a newly created role due to business growth and therefore expansion of the divisional finance team.

You will lead and support a fantastic team of 5 in preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your expertise will be crucial in performing comprehensive revenue and cost reconciliations, providing insightful reporting on product and customer profitability. You will also play a key role in comparing actual performance to budgets and forecasts, assisting with year-end statutory financial statements packs, developing strong controls within the finance area.

  • Lead and support a team of 5 in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
  • Implementing internal controls, producing timely and accurate financial information, ensuring a slick financial reporting process.
  • Seek to continually automate and improve efficiencies where possible - encouraging a continual improvement environment.
  • Develop processes and building relationships with internal and external groups that will improve the flow of financial information within the company.
  • Ensure smooth financial audits and commit to ensuring more efficient and less costly audits through continuous process improvements.
  • Supporting the FP&A Stakeholders with annual budgeting & half year re-forecasting.
  • Provide product and customer profitability reporting.
  • Manage and develop a best-in-class accounting team.

What you bring:

  • Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Progressive career to date with the ambition to grow within a leading business who are one of the leading performers in their industry.
  • Experience interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people.
  • Experience managing/supervising a finance team.
