Robert Walters are excited to be representing an award-winning, professional services firm based in South Manchester as they look to appoint an ambitious and commercially astute Management Accountant into their dynamic finance team.

This role will be instrumental in driving growth and profitability through effective management reporting. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a supportive environment that values its employees and fosters a culture of inclusivity and professional development.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within the Finance team. Reporting directly into the Finance Director, you will take a lead role in preparing end to end management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and presenting key financial insights to senior stakeholders. You will have a keen eye for financial analysis and process improvements utilising tools such as Microsoft Power BI. Your input will be invaluable in evaluating financial software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Collaborate closely with Senior Stakeholders, including Finance Director.
  • Oversee day-to-day management reporting aspects of the Finance function.
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts and business progress reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and debt control processes.
  • Report on key performance indicators influencing business performance.
  • Lead on external accounting audits.
  • Interrogate SQL databases for data analysis and pull key financial information to aid strategic decision making.
  • Assist in evaluating financial software and systems with a view to improve processes & accuracy.
