Robert Half is working with a global business to recruit for a Financial Accountant to join their finance and accountancy team, based in Warrington. The role will involve interaction with the Head of External Reporting and will contribute to the effective management of their legal entities in the UK and Ireland, as well as provide support for our international holding initiatives. For the right candidate, this role offers:

Salary £45,000 - £60,000 + hybrid working (1-2 days in the office) + excellent benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely technical accounting support to businesses in Europe & India
  • Assist with UK & I audit processes; prepare balance trials, accounting notes and answer auditor queries
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements, compliance with local GAAP and legal regulations, and timely filing
  • Collaborate with offshore global services team to optimise account creation and processing
  • Assist in streamlining and simplifying our legal entity structure
  • Gather financial information for the bidding process on potential future business projects
  • Participate in special projects and work with teams to implement new UK/ US GAAP accounting standards
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, and legal teams for compliance and optimisation.

Requirements:

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Ability to manage the detail but also understand the "bigger picture
  • Experience working in Engineering and Construction is a plus
  • US GAAP experience is a plus
