Reed Scientific is recruiting for a leading manufacturer of analytical instruments based in Cheshire. It offers a dynamic and varied work environment, ideal for those passionate about developing applications to enhance instrument sales and user experience.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Report to the Laboratory Manager and complete application work and development efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including ordering chemicals and consumables, preparing stock solutions, and ensuring the lab remains clean and well-organised.
  • Provide technical support to customers, offering expertise and guidance on all instrument and software aspects, handling technical enquiries via phone and email.
  • Prepare for instrument demonstrations, including hardware and software setup, and collaborate with Business Managers/Account Managers to ensure effective demonstration setups.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on analytical instruments.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety and operations.
  • Excellent time management skills to optimise work and prioritise effectively between tasks.
  • Ability to provide technical support and develop applications.
  • Proficient in handling customer enquiries and providing detailed technical advice.
  • Team-oriented with a professional attitude and the ability to support colleagues across departments.
