The role:

Reporting to the UK Sales & Marketing Director, leading and managing sales efforts for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) within the grocery sector. Driving growth by developing relationships with key grocery chains and independent stores.

Responsibilities will include:

- Implementing effective sales strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets

- Leading promotional initiatives to drive brand visibility

- Nurturing relationships to ensure exceptional customer service and long-term partnerships

- Regularly meeting retails buyers and category managers to present new offerings

- Conducting market research to keep in touch with trends, competitor activity and customer preferences

- Identifying gaps and opportunities for product launches

- Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operation

- Preparing sales forecast reports and updates for senior management to provide insights into performance and areas of improvement

The person:

- 3-5 years sale experience within the FMCG space - Grocery specific

- Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation, presentation and account management skills

- Building and maintaining strong relationships

- Able to lead a sales team and delegate tasks as required

- Interpreting market data and presenting accordingly

- Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
