PROJECT MANAGER - Engineering

Contract Urenco trusted, long-term supplier to the nuclear industry, specialising in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services, are looking for a Project Manager on a contract basis (inside IR35), to be based in Capenhurst near Chester. In this role, you will provide and enhance Urenco UK's project delivery capabilities across the capital portfolio. The successful candidate can create, implement, and guide junior members of the project management team in developing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for medium to large sized projects of moderate or greater, complexity. The Senior Project Manager will be assigned to one major, or a number of smaller, projects of considerable strategic significance to assume a direct delivery role. Rate: £50-60 Umbrella (Inside IR35) What will your day look like? - Overall responsibility for the delivery of Projects to meet safety, scope, cost, schedule and Business benefits objectives Communicate strategy, objectives and benefits to business unit and group whilst implementing the organisational strategy to achieve maximum business benefit - Advise, consult, and provide feedback in the development and evolvement of the Group's Project Delivery Strategy, aligned to deliver against UUK's objectives and strategy across its own capex portfolio - The Senior Project Manager may provide subject matter expert consulting and advice across Urenco UK project portfolio and support to the wider Urenco business. - Ability to analyse project requirements and critical success factors and translate these into bespoke Delivery Strategies - Ability to analyse project requirements and critical success factors and translate these into bespoke Delivery Strategies - deliver project to Business objectives (safety, budget, cost, benefits) - managing complex contractual relationships including the provision of free-issue materials, technology or IP, able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing suppliers to deliver within this context What do you need to be great at this role? - Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in applicable engineering discipline or equivalent subject - Technical background in engineering - Project Management Qualification / Accreditation such as APM or PMI - Extensive knowledge of the EPC contractor, major EPS and Construction supply markets and will have gained insights into their relative strengths and weaknesses and ability to leverage relationships with key members of supplier's leadership teams to Urenco's advantage Please be aware that this contract position is subject to passing: - Security Clearance - Medical, drug and alcohol tests Still curious?
