Financial Systems and Reporting Manager
The Role:
This role is integral to a leading financial services organisation operating within a regulated environment, with oversight from regulatory bodies. TheFinancial Systems and Reporting Manager will support the Head of Financial Systems and Control in ensuring precise and prompt financial reporting, alongside maintaining a high standard of financial control. This will involve overseeing financial systems support, acting as a primary liaison for projects affecting financial systems, and coordinating the monitoring and reporting of financial risks and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the interdependencies between financial systems and ensure changes are implemented in a controlled manner.
- Support the monitoring and review of operational risk and control standards, ensuring robust controls are in place across finance teams.
- Coordinate the assessment and reporting of financial risks and controls, liaising with the Risk department and reporting to the Risk Committee as necessary.
- Serve as a primary contact for finance-related projects that impact financial systems.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes and enhance automation for greater efficiency while maintaining effective controls.
- Address ad-hoc queries and requests for financial information as needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Knowledge of IFRS and US/UK GAAP accounting standards.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with financial systems teams and finance risk and control operations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
