Long O Donnell are recruiting for an experienced Internal Recruiter to work closely with internal stakeholders and Directors to recruit for permanent staff and project based resources. Based in Northwich, you will be recruiting for a variety of skillsets and roles within the energy, infrastructure and utility sectors across the UK and Ireland.
Roles you will recruit for will include (but are not limited to) Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, CAD Designers, Site Supervisors, H&S Consultants, Water Engineers, Mechanical Engineers etc.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and proactive Recruitment Consultant looking to move from agency to internal recruitment or an Internal Recruiter looking for the next step in their career.
As the Internal Recruiter, your duties will include:
- Gaining an understanding our market and mapping potential candidates against current vacancies.
- Undertaking responsibility for the delivery of live vacancies and working directly with hiring managers. This includes providing market feedback and updates as appropriate.
- Networking and direct sourcing through LinkedIn
- Building relationships with hiring managers / senior stakeholders understanding their specific requirements and developing relevant talent pools
- Building relationships with candidates and managing them through the recruitment process
- Managing your time and priorities with the Senior Management Team.
- Identifying new ways to access and attract new candidates.
- Maintain regular contact/communication with managers to update them on their roles, discuss feedback and give recommendations.
- Attend meetings as required to provide updates, discuss upcoming programmes of work etc.
- Assist in interview processes as required.
- Completing HR administration tasks as required.
Role Requirements
To be considered for the Internal Recruiter opportunity you will have a strong background and understanding of the recruitment lifecycle. Specifically you will have:
- Experience of candidate attraction of both passive and active candidates. This includes reviewing and identifying new ways of candidate attraction.
- Experience of managing the recruitment lifecycle from candidate attraction through to shortlisting, interviews, offer and onboarding stages.
- A proactive approach to the recruitment process both for current recruitment requirements and planned resource requirements.
- Strong computer literacy including skills with Excel e.g. data entry, basic formulas, graphs.
- Experience/knowledge of recruiting within the energy , infrastructure or oil & gas sectors is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
