Our client, a leading facilities management and professional services company, is seeking a Legal Director to provide expert guidance and advice to support their operations team. Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all contractual and construction agreements relating to our clients schools, NHS and local authority activities, including PFI contracts.
  • Form part of the SLT and provide robust oversight for the UK operations business.
  • Provide legal advice on bids, contracts, and renewals.
  • Support transactional activities, including negotiation and finalisation of contracts.
  • Handle legal issues, such as termination, payment, and disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain a precedent bank.
  • Establish strong relationships across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 7 years PQE.
  • Expertise in commercial contracts, projects and construction law.
  • Dispute resolution and litigation experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and client service skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Familiarity with standard form construction contracts.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and use initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems.
