Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join East Cheshire NHS Trust. The role involves providing high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs within a community setting. You will act as an autonomous clinician, using analytical skills and clinical reasoning to diagnose conditions and create tailored treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and deliver treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Act independently to provide clinical care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient management.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and external agencies to integrate community care effectively.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to team development and ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently, prioritising and adapting treatment plans as required.
Key Requirements:
  • Post-registration experience relevant to this specialist area, evidenced by CPD.
  • Strong knowledge of recent NHS legislation and healthcare priorities.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and under pressure while maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Experience in leading junior staff and making clinical decisions.
  • NHS experience in both physical and mental health fields across various rotations.
