We are seeking a qualified and HCPC registered Child & Educational Psychologist to join a dedicated team on a locum basis. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to working face-to-face with children and young people in Cheshire West. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality psychological assessments and advice for Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting face-to-face psychological assessments with children and young people in Cheshire West.
  • Providing expert psychological advice and recommendations as part of Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records of assessments and recommendations.
  • Working collaboratively with educational and healthcare professionals to support the needs of children and young people.
  • Adhering to relevant psychological and safeguarding standards and guidelines.
  • Committing to working either 2 or 4 days per week during term time, with reliability and consistency.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Child & Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people in an educational or clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessments and Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Availability to work face-to-face and commit to the agreed schedule.
