We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Secondary School Science Teachers to join our dynamic teaching team.

The role 

We are working with a large secondary school in South Manchester who are looking for a Science teacher to start after the October half term. This role will be a full time, on-going role covering a long-term sickness. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for science in students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons. You will help students develop a deep understanding of the scientific world, critical thinking skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons across the curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and student engagement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Prepare students for GCSE's ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and promote good behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Must have a DBS on the Update Service (or willing to get one)
  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
