Role Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring they follow the pre-planned lessons and activities.

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies, promoting positive conduct and engagement.

  • Providing support to students where necessary, offering encouragement and assistance with tasks.

  • Reporting back to the relevant staff regarding student progress, behaviour, or any issues encountered during the lesson.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting, although this is not essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.

  • A calm, confident, and proactive approach to managing students.

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) is required for this role.
