Job Title: Warehouse Operative

THE HOURS FOR THE ROLE ARE 2PM - 10PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE LOCATION

Location: Poynton

Remuneration: £11.50 - £12.50PH

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a dynamic team to execute warehouse operations efficiently and effectively.
  • Safely operate 5-tonne overhead gantry cranes, utilising radio remote and pendant control. Always consider your hand and body positioning, applying a task-based personal risk assessment.
  • Adhere to necessary Fire, Health & Safety Regulations and complete all required training.
  • Follow instructions from the Foreman to ensure work schedules are met and maintain production output.
  • Store processed material in designated Warehouse Bay(s) while ensuring safety and accessibility in line with company practises.
  • Conduct stock checks as required.
  • Load wagons daily with steel using overhead gantry cranes
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as instructed for your assigned role (e.g., sawyer role - hard hat, safety glasses/visor, ear defenders, hi viz, overalls, and safety boots).
  • Promptly report any plant defects to the Supervisor/Senior Supervisor/Works Manager.
