Finance Business Partner

Reed Finance Norwich are seeking a proactive and analytical Finance Business Partner to join our clients Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role involves close collaboration with Business Managers and Operations Directors, playing a crucial role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes within designated business areas.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare management accounts, adjusting for Group policies or using judgement on costs/income to reflect true business performance.
- Present reports and analysis to operations and management, highlighting key performance drivers, future impacts, required actions, and potential risks or opportunities.
- Lead the implementation of new contracts and manage the exit from existing ones as required.
- Manage one or two direct reports (Management Accountants) to support the preparation of management accounts and other analyses.
- Recognise links between income and cost movements and assess the cash flow impact of performance.
- Liaise with transactional teams to minimise working capital requirements and resolve intercompany trading mismatches.
- Prepare and support the analysis of business proposals to provide management with a comprehensive view of implications and impacts.
- Maintain a solid understanding of key operational and commercial drivers within the business.
- Serve as the primary liaison for audit queries related to the business, providing necessary evidence or analysis.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of VAT and Corporation Tax implications for the business unit, seeking advice proactively when required.
- Work with transactional teams and operations to resolve issues and suggest improvements in processes to aid transaction management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial reporting and forecasting.
- Proven experience in financial management and business analysis within a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with various stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to direct reports.
- Knowledge of Group finance policies and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Understanding of VAT and Corporation Tax implications relevant to the business.
- Ability to travel occasionally to other offices as required.
