School Caretaker

Build Recruitment  are currently looking to recruit a Caretaker for our Client based in the Taverham area.

 

The successful post-holder will be responsible for the day to day maintenance, operational running and security / supervision of the site and related equipment

Please Note: You will be working through the holiday period and out of term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out building fabric repairs, adjustments maintenance, installations and removals
  • Undertake and record weekly checks and record works carried out
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed on time and to Health and Safety standards
  • Ensuring the Site Security, unlocking and locking all the doors entries and exits - ensuring the site is secure but accessible at all times
  • Liaising with and monitoring the work of contractors including cleaner contactors
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, customers and clients
  • Reporting any incident that may adversely affect service delivery and customer satisfaction

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in similar facility management and/or caretaking role
  • Must work well as part of a team
  • Able to attend regular appraisals and agree personal development programme in accordance with the job requirements
  • Able to plan and prioritise workloads to achieve objectives
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to assess and tackle a wide range of disciplines within skill sets
  • You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to go through a new one.
