Join a fantastic organisation in Norwich with a proven track record of exceptional client care as a Business Development Executive. You will be an integral part of the Business Development team, coordinating front-line communication activities to ensure high standards of customer service and efficient sales operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee relationships with key clients alongside the Head of Business Development to maximize referral business.
  • Build key accounts through phone, email, and media contact to establish referral partnerships.
  • Maintain relationships with existing accounts, regularly updating Salesforce to assess account value and improve performance.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and monitor key metrics such as sales performance, customer satisfaction, and retention rates.
  • Create strategic account plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, client services) to manage consistent client relationships and propose solutions.
  • Obtain and maintain long-term clients through proactive contact.
  • Build strong B2B relationships to identify client needs and promote the firm’s services through networking, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Maintain CRM records to track sales activity and performance.
  • Initiate relationships with potential new referrers to expand regional opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and devise strategies to capture new market areas.
  • Prepare regular progress and forecast reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with all staff to promote services and cross-referrals within the company.

Working Hours:

  • Full Time Position – Monday to Thursday, 09:00-17:30 and Friday 09:00-17:00 (37 hours)

Package:

  • Salary: £25,000 plus commission (OTE of £32,000)
  • Annual Leave: 25 days plus Bank Holidays and an extra day off for your birthday

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Sales/Business Development experience
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships at all levels
  • Positive, confident, and proactive with high levels of enthusiasm
  • Ability to exceed expectations and targets
  • Sound commercial awareness and decision-making skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to overcome objections
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use initiative and self-manage workload
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Word and Excel (Salesforce experience is a plus)
