Site Agent - Earthworks Package - New Bypass Construction - Sizewell C - Leiston
A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Agent to join our team on the critical earthworks package for the new bypass construction project for the Sizewell C nuclear power plant in Leiston. This is an opportunity to contribute to a project that will help accelerate the development of a vital energy infrastructure project for the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the earthworks package, ensuring adherence to project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively, including plant, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues related to excavation, fill, and compaction, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain meticulous records of work progress and any issues that arise, including daily site diaries.
- Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and enforcing the highest safety standards.
- Contribute to the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines and achieving the highest quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Agent on large-scale highway or road construction projects, with a particular focus on earthworks.
- A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to road construction, particularly in relation to earthworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to achieving project goals on time and within budget.
- A strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
