About the Role
Minerva Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to assist in managing a high-quality nursing care home. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the homes success by ensuring outstanding care and smooth operations.
As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in meeting or exceeding the homes goals and take full managerial responsibility in their absence. You will play a crucial role in mentoring and supervising care staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining exceptional standards of personalised care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily operations of the care home, ensuring goals are met and high-quality care is delivered.
  • Supervise and train care staff, leading by example to maintain excellence in all aspects of their roles.
  • Conduct pre-admission assessments of residents and regularly review and update care plans and records.
  • Communicate effectively with residents families, external organisations, and the internal team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Take the lead in safeguarding practices and identify appropriate referral pathways for safeguarding concerns.
  • Promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in care planning and evaluation.
  • Support compliance with CQC standards, fostering a culture of continual improvement and regulatory excellence.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
  • Ability to engage with residents to understand and meet their care needs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong relationships with care professionals, families, and team members.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of person-centred care and teamwork.
Qualifications:
  • NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience (essential).
