Electrical Design Engineer

We are working with a client based in Norwich, who are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. They are looking for someone to design and develop motors and generators, whilst supporting the growth into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design and analysis using in-house software, ensuring product quality and integrity.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise designs and support Manufacturing and Testing departments.
• Apply value engineering and design for manufacture principles to enhance products.
• Provide technical support for Sales and address customer needs, including occasional travel.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues with installed products.
• Develop and refine design rules, software, and processes.

Requirements:

• Essential: Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in electrical equipment design, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with manufacturing environments.
• Desirable: Experience with programming (e.g., VB.NET) and 2D CAD software.

Skills:

• Highly motivated and proactive with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
