Are you an experienced Senior Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the highways sector? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Norwich, delivering key infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency.
The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of highways projects. Your responsibilities will include:
·Assisting in project planning, monitoring, and programming.
·Mentoring and supporting junior and graduate engineers.
·Managing site engineering control, setting out activities, and providing technical information to operatives and subcontractors.
·Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed on time and to the required quality.
·Producing 2D & 3D site sketches and as-built surveys.
·Developing and implementing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensuring compliance with specifications.
·Drafting, reviewing, and implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
·Ensuring all surveying equipment is calibrated and maintained.
·Conducting material reconciliations and minimising waste on-site.
·Identifying and introducing innovative processes and techniques.
·Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and contributing to a safe working environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
·Advanced setting out skills and strong engineering knowledge.
·Relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in highways (rail, water, or aviation experience will also be considered).
·Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
·NVQ Level 3 or higher in a relevant discipline.
·SMSTS qualification and a valid CSCS card.
·Proficiency in AutoCAD and Office 365.
